Vector Laboratories currently offers three M.O.M.™ (Mouse-on-Mouse) kits to localize mouse primary antibodies on mouse tissue sections. The advantage of these kits is their ability to allow mouse primary antibodies to be stained while avoiding interfering background due to the detection reagents binding endogenous mouse antibody. A key component of the M.O.M.™ kits is the reagent used to block endogenous mouse antibody in the tissue section. This blocking agent is now available separately and is optimally effective when used in conjunction with the special biotinylated anti-mouse IgG in the M.O.M.™ kits. This reagent is supplied as a 1 ml concentrate sufficient to prepare about 25 ml of working solution or enough to stain about 250 sections.
