The VECTASTAIN® Universal Quick kit is designed for rapid immunohistochemical staining of frozen or paraffin embedded tissue sections. This kit relies on the most recent advances in biotin-streptavidin preformed complex technology to achieve outstanding sensitivity in the shortest time. The VECTASTAIN® Universal Quick kit contains the streptavidin peroxidase preformed complex, normal blocking serum and a pan-specific biotinylated antibody which recognizes mouse, rabbit, and goat antibodies.
Most antibodies from other species such as rat, bovine, and sheep can also be used with this kit.
The VECTASTAIN® Universal Quick kit is available in two formats. The ready-to-use (R.T.U.) kit consists of 50 ml of each stabilized prediluted reagent in bottles fitted with drop dispenser tops. The concentrated format consists of 6 ml blocking serum, 2.2 ml biotinylated universal, pan-specific antibody and 1.2 ml streptavidin peroxidase preformed complex in drop dispensing bottles. Each kit provides sufficient reagents to stain approximately 500 sections.
Working solutions prepared from the concentrated format kit can be used immediately after dilution, and staining times can be shortened substantially compared to many other detection systems.
