| This substrate system produces an intense red reaction product and is recommended for use in immunohistochemical applications. Sections stained with the Vector® Red substrate can be cleared with xylene or a xylene substitute, and permanently mounted. This substrate can be used singly or in combination with other alkaline phosphatase or peroxidase substrates for multiple label applications. |
| The Vector® Red reaction product is also highly fluorescent. The product can be visualized as a bright red or orange fluorescent precipitate in the rhodamine, fluorescein or AMCA excitation filter systems. The product is especially bright in a dehydrated, permanently mounted section using a rhodamine filter system. The fluorescence is also very stable and does not photobleach like most fluorescent dyes. Unlike most fluorochrome labels, this product is enhanced in permanent mounted sections. Use of fluorescence with the Vector® Red substrate provides amplification over conventional light microscopy. |
