| Maximal signal sensitivity, without background development, can be achieved through the combined use of the VECTASTAIN® ABC-AmP™ Detection System and the DuoLuX™ Chemiluminescent/Fluorescent Substrate. VECTASTAIN® ABC-AmP™ is an amplified alkaline phosphatase ABC reagent optimized for use on nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes. Used with the DuoLuX™ Substrate, the VECTASTAIN® ABC-AmP™ system produces a very high signal, minimal background, sustained light emission, and permanent fluorescence in western blots. The sensitivity of this combined system allows for the detection of as little as 1 pg of target protein. The VECTASTAIN® ABC-AmP™ reagent can also be employed to develop western blots using the chromogenic substrate, BCIP/NBT. |

Each VECTASTAIN® ABC-AmP™ kit provides sufficient reagents to develop approximately twenty 100 cm2 blots. Kit consists of the VECTASTAIN® ABC-AmP™ reagent, 10x casein solution, biotinylated anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody, and the BCIP/NBT chromogenic substrate. Reagents contained in the kits can also be purchased separately.
